1. General
1.1 These Terms of Service apply to all quotes, surveys, and installation contracts provided by ("the Company").
1.2 By submitting a survey or accepting a quotation, the Customer ("You") agrees to be bound by these terms.
2. Accuracy of Quotations & Remote Surveys
2.1 Initial quotations are often produced using satellite imagery and data provided by the Customer. While we strive for accuracy, these are estimates only.
2.2 All quotes are subject to a technical site survey. We reserve the right to amend the price or technical specification if the physical survey reveals:
Structural defects in the roof or property timber.
The presence of asbestos or hazardous materials.
The existing electrical consumer unit does not meet current BS 7671 safety standards.
Significant shading issues not visible via satellite.
3. Permissions and Approvals
3.1 DNO Approval: Large solar installations require permission from the local Distribution Network Operator (DNO). All contracts are "Subject to DNO Approval." If the DNO refuses connection or requires costly grid upgrades, the Company reserves the right to cancel the contract and refund any deposit minus incurred costs.
3.2 Planning Permission: Unless explicitly agreed in writing, it is the Customer's responsibility to determine if Planning Permission or Listed Building Consent is required.
4. Performance Estimates
4.1 Any energy saving or performance figures provided are estimates based on standard MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) calculations and regional weather data.
4.2 Actual performance is dependent on weather conditions, local shading, and household energy consumption patterns. The Company does not guarantee specific financial returns.
5. Installation & Property
5.1 Access: The Customer must provide clear access for scaffolding and installation teams. Failure to provide access on the agreed date may result in a re-deployment fee.
5.2 Existing Conditions: The Company is responsible for the integrity of the solar mounting system and its waterproof seals. The Company is not liable for the pre-existing condition of the roof tiles, felt, or structural timbers.
5.3 Minor Damage: While every care is taken, the Company is not liable for minor cosmetic damage to driveways or lawns caused by essential scaffolding or heavy delivery vehicles.
6. Referral Incentive Scheme
6.1 A referral fee of £200 is payable only when the referred party completes a full installation and the final balance has been settled.
6.2 Referrals must be new customers to the Company. Self-referrals or referrals within the same household are excluded.
6.3 Referrers must ensure they have the explicit consent of the referred party before sharing their data in accordance with UK GDPR.
7. Cancellation & Cooling Off
7.1 In accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations, Customers generally have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of signing the contract to cancel with a full refund.
7.2 If the Customer requests work to begin during the cooling-off period, they may be liable for the cost of any goods or services provided up to the point of cancellation.
8. Warranty & MCS
8.1 All installations are carried out to MCS standards. Manufacturer warranties on panels, inverters, and batteries are passed directly to the Customer.
8.2 Workmanship warranties are valid only if the system has not been tampered with by unauthorized third parties.
9. Limitation of Liability
9.1 The Company’s total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total price of the installation contract.
9.2 The Company is not liable for "loss of profit" or indirect financial losses caused by grid outages or equipment downtime.
10. Governing Law
10.1 These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
